Just joined the sight and don't feel like going into every detail of everything I like to do. Maybe I'll share a little more about me later.

I hate trying to describe myself in a paragraph. I mean really, what the hell are we supposed to say here? Have our lives become so complicated that we don't have enough time to actually socialize anymore? That everything is reduced to filling out some sort of form, or info box with their perception of how other people see them. So,I am going to do my best to give you my perception on how I think people see me.

I am a very active individual and do some sort of physical activity on a daily basis. I am an avid snowboarder and would definitely like you to be the same, or at least be willing to give it a try. I am outgoing, outspoken and definitely been known to speak my mind, sometimes at the wrong time, but always entertaining.

I can be a bit sarcastic at times, so a sense of humor is a must. I have just moved to the area from Los Angeles and looking for people to hang out with and then see where it goes from there. I am though, definitely OK with anyone who might just want to use me for SEX, just kidding, refer to previous statements.

I am into a variety of music from hard rock to obscure electronica. I enjoy doing anything outdoor and would like to meet someone else who does as well. I'm also a bona fide food snob. I love fine dining and do it as much as possible, especially sushi. I really like to travel and have to for business pretty often, which also can make it difficult to meet people.

I am a certified massage therapist but do not practice professionally anymore but still have been known to oil up now and again for the "Lay-diezze" and the occasional buddy with an injury.

I spend way too much time working, but I love what I do and still manage to keep myself amused both at work and at play. I can be very happy either watching the snow from some place warm, or playing in it, and have been known to make naked snow angels. I'm a recovering smoker (nasty stuff) and am working to get my aerobic abilities back to where they should be. I'm an alpine skier, snowshoer, hiker, mexican food junkie, reader of fiction and realizer of fantasies. I like travelling and lean towards places with beaches, palm trees, pelicans and roller-coasters.

Well, I suppose I should start with my name. The name's Spencer and its a pleasure to make your aquaintance. I'm an all-around happy person. What can I say? I love being alive. I enjoy experiencing new things and sharing moments with friends. I believe the human race to be better than what the media portrays. People have the ability to surprise and to astound, and that's why I have faith. I deeply love my family and friends. They have helped to mold the man I am today. I love going out, soaking up sunshine and being with friends, but I am also more than content with spending time with a good book or a good video game. But a cold beer with friends trumps them all. Though, don't think that I'm some hippie. I mean, I guess that I'm hippier than some but I enjoy showers and personal hygiene in general.

I also love tattoos and I run a lot. Also, I just moved to Boulder to live with my english grad student best friend for life. So I know relatively nobody and I haven't the slightest idea how to navigate this place. But there are mountains! That makes up for everything else.

However, I'm a bit wary about my fondness of running and becoming accustomed to the altitude of the mountains. I'm from the flat, almost sea level lands of Illinois. So if you see me passed out on a street corner due to the lack of oxygen in my blood, take pity and resist the urge to run over, bike over, or step on my head. I'm Margaret. I like music, theater, animals, and languages. I have brown hair and blue eyes. I go to CU Boulder, where I major in Linguistics. However, I'm taking a semester or so off to work. I went to a boarding high school in New York, but my hometown is in Maine. I like interesting pets, like reptiles and invertebrates. At home, I have three pugs (which I plan on having as soon as I can once I have my own place!) named Bella, Lizzie Lou, and Sophie, as well as a cat. I'm interested endlessly evolving. I love to learn, teach, and listen. I'm a database for an eclectic array of interconnected information. I look for patterns, and meta patterns, it seems like any phenomenon is an example of some underlying pattern(s), and that its all pointing at some unified idea - so I'm trying to figure that one out too.

I strive to be honest, accurate, and non-dogmatic. I'm probably at least somewhat interested in the things you are interested in. I want to connect with interesting people.

So I'm the kind of guy that likes to make people laugh and be happy. I'm not a big clown, but I'm definitely not afraid to make fun of myself. I enjoy self-deprecation and introspective wit. Except all of this comes after getting to know me a little, as I am prone to being shy around people I don't know. I'm sure there's some sort of personality type that describes that: Someone who is shy at big parties, but jumps up and down in excitement in smaller groups of friends.

I am really open minded and love to experience new things. Except I can definitely be judgmental at times, though I try not to let it affect my decisions or opinion of things.

Originally from New Jersey, I moved to Boulder, CO in 1975, where I now own a high-tech company. I am very secure with my life and the direction it's going. I am strong-willed, determined, confident, but also very sensitive, caring and not afraid to show my emotions. Although I'm not religious, I deeply value my Jewish "roots", but have leanings toward Eastern Philosophy. I am very passionate about the people and things I love. I miss the weekends, and want to enjoy them. I spend alot of my time writing fiction. I am hard working, and sometimes that's a problem. I enjoy the outdoors - hiking, skiing, x country skiing, fishing (need more fishing time), whatever.

I'm Buddhist and like Buddhismbecause it helps me center and know myself best. I'm not particularly religious, but am fascinated with it - particularly Catholicism and Jewish mysticism. I was raised Catholic, and enjoyed the way it helped me open and expand my mind. I don't like the judgemental attitude Catholicism has reverted to.

Politics are also interesting. I lean left, but try to keep an open mind.

Really, I'm pretty easy-going, with a really good sense of humor. I don't get rattled easily, unless the road is very bumpy, then all kinds of things rattle around. I love hiking in the mountains or desert (I even camped in Death Valley for a week). Music and photography make my world go around, especially seeing a great live show.

I was just browsing through and got sucked in to creating a profile. I sort of swore off this mode of meeting folks a while ago but I'm back. What can I say? I'm a glutton for punishment. You'd have to put me in the skeptical column...but what the hell. My life is in a good place. Got the staples: great job, roof over my head, food in the fridge. Workin' hard to play hard. Just got back from 3 weeks of adventure in Chile. :) I'm a happy, 'don't sweat the small stuff,' but definitely work up a sweat kinda gal. My activities of choice usually lead to getting outside and enjoying the sunshine. Outside in the rain may take a little extra prodding, but I most likely will enjoy it once I'm out there. I do all kinds of supported events to have goals. While I may not be the fastest in the bunch, I usually am challenging myself to grow both emotionally and physically along the way. This year I've lined up Aqua Bike (Ironman distance, no run!) and a few other tris and centuries. Just joined a new gym that's helping to invigorate the training. Gotta love an actual meter length saline pool!
I'm a good friend who's supportive and caring. I'm sensitive, thoughtful, adventurous and usually a bit silly. I love when my sense of humor is in whack with those around me. More an It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia type of humor than a King of the Hill kinda of humor. I'm always doing something. Me? I just got back from working and island hopping around Hawaii while taking semester off gradschool. It was perfect, but I am glad to be back in Colorado.

I am an active person, I love running, biking, swimming, hiking. I push my body to its limits, or at lest pretend to ;) And want to be outside all of the time (except when I am on the internet). There is so much beauty the world to see and cliffs to jump off of. Though, I don't quite have the flip down.

I am kind of a goofy guy. When I shop, periodically I will run and push the cart and glide. I love being a grown up-- there is no one to tell me not to do these things :) I have a serious side too, but I don't want to ramble on about my favorite book quite yet. So I will just leave it at that.

I'm sure it says it somewhere, but my name is Brett, I'm 22 living in Boulder. School sucks, but working full-time at Home Depot sucks even more; so I have chosen the lesser of two evils. For some reason I don't have a single photo of myself besides the blurry Vegas pictures taken within the last year...but really nothing has changed...except for that horrible car wreck of which we won't speak of. I will work on vandalizing and possibly robbing a camera store.

Hmmm! I really just wanted to fill out the books-'n'-movies part, 'cause I was thinking it would be part of their matching metric (is that a correct use of 'metric'? My favorite use of 'metric' was when someone described music with multiple shifting time signatures as 'metric'. Who knew there was a word for it?) .

Since they insist that I fill this out, I'll do it. I like walking around in cities. I like walking around in scenic nature. I like reading books. I like dogs more than cats, and cats more than parrots, and parrots more than fish. Or do I? It depends on the parrot, and the fish.

I play a musical instrument. I like to Nordic ski, but I don't go downhill. Or, should I say, when I go downhill, I don't stop very well. I ride a bike, but more for transportation than sport. I like to read, and I can kick some ass in a life-drawing class. I'm more of a night person than a morning person, and have proven to myself the fact that humans naturally have a sleep cycle in excess of 24 hours, (so if you can, you'll go to sleep later and later every night, until it becomes really, really impractical. Obviously, I'm self-employed, or I wouldn't have been able to find this out.)

I have this feeling that when I meet Mr. Guy, we're going to be thrilled to pieces, because neither of us will be 'standard issue'. And we won't have standard issues... we'll have really exciting, unique, psychological issues.

I moved to Colorado after graduating from the University of Oregon. I've lived in Boulder for about two years now. I'm pretty active and play rugby, run, lift, bike, or hike at least a few times a week depending on the time of year.

I have a 1 year old dog that is my best friend. My hobbies are web design, reading, games (i love a good board game), playing guitar, and watching movies. I rarely watch TV except for sports, and i don't watch sports very often.

Overall i'm pretty quite, super nice, very honest, easy going and rarely let anything get under my skin or annoy me. However i'm not indirect and will not hold back an opinion because I think it might offend someone.

...why not? ...I have several friends who've met amazing people online. I'm not crazy about clubs but I love going out to concerts, movies, festivals, and anyplace I can catch live music. I love to laugh and believe you can never laugh too much. A good sense of humor is paramount to me. I love to try new things and I'm not easily intimidated by the unknown...I'll try anything once (well...almost) I'm a very active person but have no problem becoming one with the couch after a long day.
I love to travel and there are many places in the world that I'd still like to visit. Lately the majority of my travel has been domestic as I'm currently in the process of trying to run a marathon in all 50 states. I've got a long way to go and am having a great time doing it! It's an amazing journey. I also believe exercise is very important in life, it is like water to me. I just want to keep myself fit and healthy for the journey ahead. (I'm not just talking about the running journey)

Another year, huh? Kind of like starting fresh and seeing what you can build or rebuild. I am a native Coloradoan (Note:NOT Coloradan) and I've lived here most of my life. Did some volunteer work overseas for a while and went to grad school out of state. I have never been married and have no children, but I didn't plan it that way. I have a lot of different interests, both cultural and outdoorsy. I like to ski and hike, and would love to find a woman to do those things with. I naively believe that I have some sixth sense connection to animals, being able to have sophisticated conversations with most dogs, having had hummingbirds perch on my finger, being face to face with moose, and running with elk. That said, I do not like spoiled little yipper dogs with no training, in their little Christmas outfits and diapers.

I like to travel and have been overseas a few times but would like to see a lot more places, including Turkey and England. Some of my travel has been pretty adventurous and rugged, not comfy cruise type stuff, and a couple times I was looking over my shoulder, making sure I would get out safely. I love wildlife and many of my trips have been in search of birds and critters I have not seen before. Along with beaches and swamps and rain forest and mountains and old cities, I enjoy cheesy vacations too, like Disney and Vegas. Roll 'em, Baby!

My musical tastes vary widely. Music is a passion of mine and my tastes have ranged from big band to rock to classical. I would love to get good at swing dancing. I have a spiritual side to me, although it's more of an inward thing than outward expression. Sometimes I don't even understand it, but it's there and it's always going to be there.

I am a self-proclaimed nerd and/or geek. I love science fiction, written and visual. I love reading it, watching it, and writing it. I have created several different sci-fi universes, with detailed descriptions of people, events, cultures, societies, militaries, and governments. I was an anthropology major in college, so I spend most of my time building cultures and histories, rather than creating characters or technologies.

I am very religious - I was born Episcopalian, and being a part of the Episcopal Church is a huge part of my identity. It informs my politics, my philosophy, and my view on the world. I believe in equal rights for all people, that homosexuality is a natural part of the human condition, that women have the right to control their own bodies, and that the Republican party and the Religious Right are about as far from the Gospel as you can possibly imagine.

So I am a twenty-six year old male. About 5' 10" Hwp. Brown hair and brown eyes. I like a lot of things, have a lot of interests. I love being in Boulder, I'm trying not to use my car, and use my bike more. I've been in CO for over a year, and I think its great out here. Just browsing around. I am a very open and honest person, and I believe that communication is essential. I like to do all the typical things that CO say they like to do, hike, bike, ect. I like to golf. I like to relax, get intoxicated, and have animated conversations about anything under the sun.

How do you summarize yourself in 100 characters?

I'm new to CO and would love to meet new people! I love the outdoors, happy hours, pets, movies and spending time with friends. I'm very responsible, but easy going at the same time. And I'm constantly laughing!

I really dislike "summarizing" myself, so I'll make this quick. I'm very open-minded, honest, and extraverted (most of the time). I'm really into being active and open to new experiences. Trying new things is what keeps me going. I love the outdoors, music, and my friends.

I have been highly educated in schools, but also in life. I think that I've got a depth that intimidates people while at the same time, I can enjoy light-hearted silliness. My kids are the center of my world and I'd prefer it that way, because since I chose to take on this thing called parenthood. It's no small task.

I would love to meet someone to play with and to challenge and be challenged by who would ask me how my day was on a regular basis.

So I'm an accountant, but likely one of the less stereotypical ones. I come out of Minnesota and Kansas, so am some sort of blue/white-collar hybrid. I have a rich social life, and an awesome crew of local hooligans to get into trouble with. They also keep me in the art/design loop, which is crucial. I don't produce much outside of the garage, but love to be involved. That being said, they are increasingly married/married-with-kids, so I thought I'd give this thing a whirl to maybe shake things up a bit.

I raced mountain bikes in a former life, and remain very active and fit, but not in the Boulder-psycho sense. Actually did a couple single-speed races again this year.

I like to travel when opportunity presents itself, and made it to Austria with my Dad this summer.

I am a proud father of a 13 yr. old girl. I am a dream explorer that loves the mysterious universe. I am grounded yet eccentric. My passions are music, psychology, spiritual consciousness, learning and nature. I am easy going but know how to be there when the time is right. I value loyalty and honesty. I know who I am and what I want in life. I am also open to the mysteries of what it means to be on path.

I'm passionate about what I do. Whether that's grad school, working out, or dancing, I strive to keep a balance and am always looking to expand as a person. Hello, just getting started so here is the short version. Grew up on the beaches of New England. I now live in Boulder CO.
